no stats data is actually stored in the database, most of what you see is recalculated at page load for multiple reasons. You might want to have a look at the file classes/publisher-bonus.php to dive into its inner workings 🙂

All users can share the referral link, not just the post author.

However, I can’t see the referral visits + payment via tool tip in Buddypress. This feature is not available?

I am not sure I understand where you would expect this tooltip to show :\

Because referral details is only showing the visit “count”, it does not include the payment.

I see your point – however, this cannot be done because the payment criteria applies to authors, and not to posts.

For example, an author may have 1000 referral visits coming from 1000 different posts, each with 1 view. If you have set it up so that an author gets $1 every 900 visits, then the visits all together will receive something, but not if you consider the posts individually. So if doesn’t make sense to assign a payment to individual posts.

However, when you pay the visits, they will show up as paid, so the author has an idea of how much money they could make 🙂

I have unchecked the box of “Referral visits increment post author visits counter” this means that if a Visitor uses User1’s referral link to visit a post made by User2, then only User1 will earn from the Referral Visit addon?

But if I check the box, then both User1 and User2 earn?

so,

1. I have fixed the issue for which selecting “Both” or “Payment” as display setting for referral visits would do nothing.
2. I have added a link in the top-right section of the stats page for a specific author allowing to access referral details there.

Hope this clear everything! I am going to release the update just now so it might take a few hours before it’s actually notified on your site as an update 🙂

Well, integrating with another piece of software is always quite some work, so I’d say yes, it’s still not immediate to do 🙂

what do you expect the plugin to count? By default it counts posts and pages; if you want to include some other Custom Post Types, then you should allow them in the apt section in the Miscellanea box in the Options page 🙂

I feel this falls quite far from the actual scope of the plugin and is more of something tailored to your needs (that would require quite a lot of work, also). I am afraid it is unlikely you will ever see this implemented in Post Pay Counter 🙂
