KeymasterIs it the first time that happens? Just try to open the Payment history for the user and delete the last record, this should fix it!
It seems to sporadically happen to another user as well, but I’ve never been able to reproduce it and I haven’t been able to understand what could be causing it. I’ll dive deeper into it to see if there’s some piece of code which could be causing the issue!

KeymasterHi Denis,
it is possible to hide the box as explained in the #8 faq, but I’m afraid I fear there’s currently no way to display it only to select users/user roles. You may hide it altogether by commenting out certain line of codes for now (if needed, I’ll tell you which ones), that’s the only thing you could do as of now.Have a nice day,

KeymasterOk, good, you’ll probably see the feature in the next release then ๐

KeymasterHi Stefano,
Thanks for your reply, I think [ppc time_range="last_month"] is a better option, I haven’t tried Advanced Access Manager but frankly I don’t want to add another plugin. If you can add [ppc time_range="last_month"] feature also, it will be great help.
Thanks & Regards
Nitin GStefano
KeymasterHi Nitin,
I’m afraid that this is a feature that would require a lot of work with, I believe, little benefit (at least compared to the time needed to develop it). The only I could do, if it would be of any help, is providing some dynamic shortcodes for different time ranges, so that for example [ppc time_range="last_month"] would display stats for last month and so on.The other option you have, although I have never tried it let alone tested it with PPC, is to give users access to wp-admin but use a plugin such as Advanced Access Manager to restrict the areas they would be allowed to see.

KeymasterThanks for the responses. Hopefully we can see this feature in an update soon. Thank you for your consideration.

KeymasterOk, I’ll keep this in mind for future releases ๐

KeymasterIndeed, a payment based on the number of words would be great

KeymasterHai ragione, colpa mia!
Buona giornata,
StefanoStefano
KeymasterWe got the issue fixed by email, if anyone was wondering! ๐
Stefano
KeymasterHi,
Have you seenthe ttutorial?
http://www.thecrowned.org/pay-writers-per-visit-wordpressStefano
KeymasterYes, you could probably do that. This would take in a lot more data to be sorted out and evaluated, but you could probably do it and come up with reliable data at the end of the day, other processing the multiple requests you’ve made through the day or by discarding those data and making a final requests for the whole day.
However, I’m afraid I don’t have time to commit to this in this period, sorry!

KeymasterSure, that’s fine. You could still poll Google Analytics for the current day multiple times throughout the day and get new and up-to-the-minute data.
I’m just saying that I check Google Analytics multiple times within a day and see various posts gaining views 24 hours before I see that reflected in the Views stats in PPCP.
My multiple authors are interested to be able to check in throughout the day and see how their posts are performing, and also what they’re getting paid as a result of that performance – but those stats don’t change until a full day later.
Stefano
KeymasterWhat you say is true. If you could pay only basing on the number of words a user approves (summing up all posts he has published), would that do?

KeymasterPoint is that Analytics API don’t allow to specify a time when making a request, you can only ask for stats for a specific DAY, but not a time. You can’t say “give me data from today 2pm to today 4pm”, you can only say “give me data for today”. The Analytics time range parameters accept stuff in the form YYYY-MM-DD.
Does this clarify?

KeymasterI’ve just tried using the very same shortcode I posted in the post before, and it works for me: no due payment anywhere.
[ppc author="current" exclude="post_total_payment, post_due_payment, post_words, post_images" display_overall=0]Please make sure your shortcode is correct and that you’re running PRO version 1.5.7. If you still see it, could I have a temp admin account to inspect the issue myself?
As for letting users tweak the time range: the only way to do that is to grant them access to the admin stats page. The shortcode provides a static page.
Have a nice day,

KeymasterHi Stefano,
You said the due payment at the bottom will still be visible at the bottom, but will vanish as soon as the next update will be released.
Well I can still see the due payment at the bottom with the new release.
What do you suggest to fix?
Also I’d like to be enable my authors to see the number of views per post for the current month to date, quarter to date and year to date – in fact ideally it would be best if they could select the time period themselves. Is this possible and if so what would the code be?
Thanks
Derek

KeymasterWell, what is it in your code that “doesn’t allow a new one before it’s the day after”? Can’t that be removed, or edited to poll based on a number of seconds/hours instead of by day?
If PPCP is checking when the last request was made, can’t that check be refined to check based on something other than current day, but instead the number of total seconds elapsed since the last check?
Stefano
KeymasterHi Nathan,
the system you put up doesn’t work just because PPCP checks when the last request was made, and doesn’t allow a new one before it’s the day after. Unfortunately, there is no way (I have not found one, at least) to have data update more often than daily. Should you ever find a way, please do let me know!Have a nice day,
StefanoStefano
KeymasterOk, the shortcode I have you should be fully working with the newly-released version 1.5.7 ๐
