    Thanks Kelechi,
that was helpful. I’ve fixed the bug and pushed a new release. I’ve already updated your site and everything’s working beautifully now 🙂

Has anyone else had similar issues?

Not that I’m aware of, at least. If no errors are logged, only thing you can do is deactivate your plugins one by one and find the one that is causing problems to PPC. Then I will install it on my server and test it out. I’m afraid there’s not much of another track 🙂

Right, thanks for the info. Can you check if there are any errors in your server error log please?

    it’s the ppc fault

Why do you say that? Have you installed any new plugins recently?

When I activate post pay counter… posts don’t show up for some reason
When I also activate post pay counter PRO… my dashboard breaks (the tabs don’t allow me to open them. The only thing that is opened is quickdraft). Also, my post pages… a large number of posts disappear and the tinymce doesn’t show up.

I’m using wp rocket. So, I don’t know if that is the issue, but when they are both activated they don’t work. Even when the wprocket plugin is not activated and ppc pro is activated, the tinymce doesn’t show up on my posts.

Has the issue always been there or has it popped up recently? My advice is to deactivate plugins one by one until you find the conflicting one, and then report it here. It may be ours or theirs fault. Let me know which one is causing the issue 🙂

oh yea how do you display the stats of particular author on the home page… I used the [ppc author="current"] shortcode but it didn’t work

That’s the correct way of doing it, but until the stats page won’t be working, the shortcode won’t as well 🙂

    Have a nice day,

Have a look at the Permissions box and make sure payment permissions are correctly checked. Or even better, check the field Admins override all permissions in the Miscellanea box 🙂
    Let me know!

    Hi Richard,
the key here is the mark as paid feature. At the end of each month, you can mark as paid an author and his due payment will drop to zero. New visits from the coming month will generate the income for that month, but you won’t end up douple paying old visits. It’s just like if at the end of the month you said “I’ve taken note of how much I owed him up until now. Now reset figures to zero, but keep track of how much I have already paid him, and let’s start counting visits for the coming month anew.”

Hope this clarifies. I will probably turn this into a tutorial soon as I realize it’s not clear how this flow could be achieved 🙂

See this post as well, as it covers the same topic 🙂

    Hi Richard,

Basically, I’m looking for a page view value that says “Author X generated Y page views in March, regardless of when the posts were actually written”. Is this something you can do, and I’ve missed it?

I realize this may not be very explicit, but it’s possible indeed!
The idea is that you will always select the widest possible time range in the stats page, so that posts from all times are displayed -> visits from all times are counted.

The only limitation is on the number of posts you need to see page views from at once. My local site (with almost no other plugins other than mine) can load stats for 10k posts in around 20 seconds, which is a huge number.

Does this help? Let me know if you have any more questions! Anyway, I’d encourage you to try out the PRO version and see if you can tweak it to fit your needs, and if not you have 30 days to get a full refund! 🙂

    Have a nice day,
    Stefano

    Hi Phoenix,
make sure Permissions are set up correctly (there’s a permission for marking as paid). If your user has custom settings (see the Personalize settings box), check permissions for him as well 🙂

Just one more q’s if I may , If I get it correctly , I need another plugin to measure pv (to allow the counter to pay bonuses based on pv ) right ?

    Any recommendations there ?

Have a look at this tutorial. Anyway, the PRO version allows to integrate with Google Analytics and draw visits data from there.

And another small issue is it possible to make pv or any other parameter take effect only once a certain threshold was met (e.g. min 1000 pv ?)

Unless you use the zonal system as payment system, no, there’s no way to set a lower threshold. It can only be done for images and commens right now 🙂

    Have a nice day,
    Stefano

I keep getting an invalid login error, below you can find a screenshot. I assume credentials have no starting/trailing space. Are you sure they are valid?

I get an incorrect credentials error while trying to log in. Could you make sure credentials are okay?
