KeymasterHi Ian,
A. Yes, but which log?
Apache/PHP error log, that’s where you should look for errors. Try to load the stats page and then immediately look at the bottom of error logs.
BTW, where /or how is the data stored in WP? I thought it would be a straight forward Table, but that is not the case.
Settings/Data is spread around wp_options, wp_postmeta and wp_usermeta tables. Stats are cached but not stored, since they are generated on the fly every time the stats page is accessed.
Have a nice day,

KeymasterHi George,
Replacing files will work to update to newer releases. License renewals are processed on our license server, you don’t have to do anything on your part. What could happen is that the status of the licenses may still show as expired for a couple weeks, but you will receive updates regularly anyway πHave a nice day,

KeymasterHi Michael,
I’m guessing this new issue is totally unrelated from the original PayPal one, right? Could you detail a little more? Where does it say that your key has already been activated? πHave a nice day,
StefanoStefano
KeymasterHi Ian,
sorry for the delay, I did not get a notification for this topic!I guess this is still an issue, is it right? When talking about the payments page, do you mean the stats page, or the confirm payment page?
Do you have access to your server error log? Can you have a look and see if you find any error related to Post Pay Counter. Also, please try to deactivate Post Pay Counter PRO and other addons you may have active and see if with the free version alone you manage to load the page.Let me know! π
Have a nice day,

KeymasterHi George,
I have resent you all your purchases receipts, that should contain valid links to all your purchases. Let me know if you have everything you need πHave a nice day,

KeymasterHi Beam,
I’m very happy you managed to fix the issue πHave a nice day,

Buona giornata,
StefanoStefano
KeymasterHi there,
I’m glad you have (mostly) managed to make the plugin work for your needs π1. I want an option for the users to βRequest Paymentβ. [Shortcode Needed]
You may want to look at the Request Payment addon, which provides exactly that feature!
2. Users should be able to get paid via PayPal. [Shortcode Needed]
Why do you need a shortcode for this? Payment features are only available in the admin area, since they are supposed to be used by admins. You may want to have a look at the tutorial about payments and PayPal integration π
3. When the user opens up the stats page, they should be able to select the time range. Is it possible for the user to select the month[dropdown] to view stats. Please suggest.
This is not yet available, but it’s on my todo list. I don’t have an estimate for this yet, but I do intend to implement this sooner or later!
4. After their Payment is complete, the Paid Posts should display as Paid in their Stats.
This should already happen. After a payment, the Due payment value of paid posts is reset to zero, and a new record is added to the payment history for the paid author. You may use the shortcode to display the payment history in the frontend as well π
Do ask for more clarification if needed!
Have a nice day,
StefanoStefano
KeymasterPost Pay Counter will only provide you stats and payments for your authors, but will not create a member area of its own. You can integrate it in your own member pages with the shortcodes or, if you use BuddyPress, with the apt addon π
Stefano
KeymasterNow, it shows (in backend β Total Payment $50; Due Payment $50) but thereβs no checkbox to mark as pay nor the buttons that used to sit below stats to pay via PayPal.
I tweaked your settings so that you have permissions to issue payments and the default stats time range is All time, check it out now π
In the frontend, however, it keeps saying that:
Showing posts for: This month
Your query resulted in an empty result. Try to select a wider time range!Any shortcodes attribute that can help?
All time is now the default choice even for the frontend stats π
I currently set the plugin to pay users a basic of $10 per post and nothing more. Now, lets say in the future I decided to increase payments on post to maybe $20 and set more options for people to earn, like on comments, shares, views etc. Will the changes also affect the post I had already paid in past or just on new posts submitted?
No, it will not. In fact, I just did it to show you it works the way you expect: I paid your 5 posts for a total basic payment of $50, and then raised the basic payment to $20 per post. The total payment changed, but the due payment is still zero π
Hope this helps! Let me know!
Have a nice day,
StefanoStefano
KeymasterHi Davinder,
it varies widely on the customization you would need. Please get in touch with me at webmaster [ a t ] postpaycounter [ddot] com and let me know what you would need so I can provide you with a rough quote πHave a nice day,

KeymasterOh, I’m sorry! For unknown reasons, I did not get a notification for your reply and I missed it! I will have a look immediately!
Stefano
KeymasterOkay, so could you please try uploading updated versions of both PPC and PPC PRO and see if the issue gets solved. I haven’t yet released them publicly, so you can download temporary zips from the following links:

KeymasterHi there,
thanks for all the details. May I ask you screenshots as well, please. One of the frontend stats, one of the backend stats and one of your settings page?Have a nice day,
StefanoStefano
KeymasterHi Steven,
this may become an addon in the future, thanks for the suggestion πHave a nice day,
StefanoStefano
KeymasterHi Steven,
1. Does it work with a personal paypal account or do I need a business account?
A personal account is fine π
2. Can I pay the writers in euro if my own currency on paypal is for example Hungarian forint?
I’m not entirely sure about this, but there should be no problem. PayPal may charge you fees for the currency change (or the recipients may), but you should be able to do it.
3. All coupon codes I found in the web donβt work. Could you please give me a coupon code?
You may use the discount code requestpayment. That will grant you a 20% discount, but will work only if you have the Request Payment addon in your cart π
Let me know if you need anything else!
Have a nice day,
StefanoStefano
KeymasterHi Siegfried,
so, something similar can be achieved through the Category Custom Settings addon. That allows you to set and use different settings depending on what category the post belongs to.In theory, what you ask for can be done. However, that would severely slow down stats generation on websites that have thousands of posts to process. If this does not seem to be an issue to you, let me know, and I will email you to discuss and provide a quote for a custom development in this regard π
Have a nice day,
StefanoStefano
KeymasterOh, I think the spam issue was raised when you sent me your plugin error log and server error log. That probably looked unwanted and garbage to filters. May be better, in the future, to attach those things as text files to the emails π
Stefano
KeymasterHi Kathy,
no problem at all, and glad you managed to fix everything. I assume all is working fine, but do ask for more help if needed πBy the way, your email from yesterday went in the spam as well and, anyway, got to my mailbox only today. Don’t know why our hosts feel like both of us are spammers with each other!
Have a nice day,
