Sorry,
MY BAD,
They both have IPN enabled to a specified URL.
Does this pose a problem.
Do I need to use a account that has it disabled?
SigneKeymasterOpps.
sorry, got it the wrong way around.
First payment was from a account that DOES have IPN active to a specified URL.
Second payment test I just made DOES NOT have IPN enabled.
Both payments came through, but both payments remain with red text unverified.
What could it be?
SigneKeymasterHi there,
Thanks for getting back to me, the account i used to make the payment this time did not IPN activated.
I just made another payment using another account I have that does have IPN activated. Waited a few minutes but the red text is still there.
Regarding the IPN is there a URL i need to specify for the notification to be sent to?
I have had to set a URL for notification for another service I have, could this cause problems with this verification system?
SigneKeymasterWow, sounds great and thank you so much for letting me know.
And yes, whenever you get a chance please send it through, it can wait until you get time sometime next week, no problems.
Thanks again and understand.
StefanoKeymasterHi Signe,
you were superfast! Glad you figured it out on your own!Standing to PayPal’s documentation, it could get up to an hour for IPN to report back the result of the transaction, but as of my experience, it usually takes a couple of minutes. Do you have Instant Payment Notification enabled on your account?
StefanoKeymasterHi Signe,
yes you’re right, they’re excluded by default. I’m busy until next weekend so can’t add the feature now, but if you want I can send you an updated version in which private posts are counted just as published posts (although there will be no option to exclude them, as there is for drafts and future ones). You will still be able to exclude single posts through the apt PRO feature. In the next official release this will come as a feature with a setting in the Options page 🙂
Have a nice day,
SigneKeymasterHi Again,
Got it going, I had the “sandbox” paypal account ticked, unticked it and was able to make a payment.
I notice the “paypal unverified” red text is in the payment history, I have checked and the payment went through to the account but after 10mins the red text is still there, how long does it take to become verified?
Thank you and great work by the way.!!
StefanoKeymasterSorry it took so much trouble! Glad it is fine now. Have a nice day and don’t hesitate to report back any more problems which should arise.
RezaKeymasterYeah it was every thing ok, the paypal email, … .Unfortunately I had to fully delete and reinstall to make it work, and it is work now, this is the second time I had to reinstall this plugin.
Anyway thanks for your help and be patient with me.Goog luck and we enjoy your plugin that is very helpful
StefanoKeymasterJust to make sure things are correct, cause I just tried it and it works: can you see the address in this field (which is different from the normal email address)?
If yes, when you refresh the page is it still there?
RezaKeymasterYes, I checked it and everything was good, try to add my paypal account to a user for test but doesn’t work either. I’m sure it is not empty maybe the plugin can’t read the email address from profile.
StefanoKeymasterHi,
the PayPal email address is missing, as the message states, apparently it’s just empty. If you go to that user’s profile page, can you see the paypal field filled in or is it blank?RezaKeymasterHello,
I’m sorry to say this but it is too annoying I think there might be a bug because after update to new version through WordPress, I got that error message about Paypal again, I checked setting and all was correct same as the last time payment.
this the new message:
“Error: no authors were selected for the payment. Notice that authors that don’t have a PayPal email address are skipped. Apparently, the email address of the user is “” and the amount is “226.99”.”
everything is same as those screenshot I sent you. I tried to download your Paypal class but the link was broken. Thanks
StefanoKeymasterOh ok, thanks for reporting back!
Have a nice day,
StefanoRezaKeymasterI re-installed the plugin and Problem solved. thank you
RezaKeymasterProblem solved. thank you
StefanoKeymasterOk, it’s out. Version 1.4.5 fixes this 🙂
StefanoKeymasterThanks. Download this special version of the PayPal class and replace with it the file you have in wp-content/plugins/post-pay-counter-pro/classesThen try to pay again. You should get a more detailed error message (make sure you only select ONE user for the payment). Let me know!
StefanoKeymasterOk, I got what the problem is, I’ll release the fix as soon as possible. Sorry about that!
