KeymasterHi Jared,
we sorted out Indira’s problem (by email): the problem for him was that Analytics was postponing the domain name to most page URLs, thus invalidating the permalinks. Are views being overcounted or undercounted? Is it only the views that are messed up, or other stuff as well?
Please enable the Analytics debug feature and update data manually through Options > Google Analytics Status > Update data, then send me the debug file.
Have a nice day,

KeymasterHi Goce,
I surely am glad you like the plugin! 😀Yes, you can already do what you ask. First of all, in the stats, select a time range of a week. Then, if you mark as paid an author from the general stats, all his posts from the selected time range will be marked as paid (you will review your selection through a confirm payment page). You may also go to the detailed stats for a single author and then using the checkbox in the table header, besides the Pay column, to select all posts at once, and then mark them as paid.
Hope this helps!
Have a nice day,
StefanoJared
KeymasterI’m having the same problem (although with no errors). I went back and uninstalled and installed everything and I can’t get it to work properly. I’ve triple checked all the options. Not sure if this is relevant, but the reason I actually upgraded was because the free plugin wasn’t counting stats correctly and didn’t seem to be working with the jetpack stats. So I thought I would upgrade to be able to use analytics, but it’s not working either. Point I’m trying to make is it might not specifically be the google anayltics part for me.
Stefano
KeymasterThanks.
I updated the plugin to the latest release – v 1.4.7 – and pulled data manually again. Everything looks fine to me: balances are all positive and most posts have visits – although they’re quite low, but I don’t know how many visits they are supposed to have. The only author who has a negative balance is Liam, but could you check if her visits are correct now, or should be more? It is possible that they were mistaken before…
Let me know how it is now!
Emma
KeymasterI’ve emailed the information over to you, thank you
Stefano
KeymasterCould I have a look at the site with a temporary admin account?
Emma
KeymasterIt all happened when I tried to do the payment run. It didn’t process through the site, so I had to go and manually pay the writers. I went to edit the settings so that “Users can see PayPal functions” was selected. Ever since then, different users are experiencing problems. Now a lot of the balances are negative.
There were approximately 1,400 rows pending.
Using Google Analytics is checked for everyone and the admin’s personal settings.
It seems to “fix” itself temporarily then happen again.
Stefano
KeymasterWhen you update data manually, for example for the last 100 days, how many pending rows do you have?
I’m not sure what caused the problem in the first place, it could be that in Counting settings > Visits contribute… > Use Google Analytics was not checked, either in the general settings on in some user personalized ones. Did it happen after you changed something, or pulled data manually, or something else that you remember?
Have a nice day,

KeymasterI revoked Analytics authorization and setting it up – and it is showing page views on some of the posts – but it is still not showing the correct numbers. For example this post shows over 6100 unique views in the last 30 days on my google analytics, and you can see there are a lot of comments + people who tweeted the post: http://untitled-magazine.com/cedella-marley-gives-us-the-low-down-on-the-marley-collection/
but on the plugin stats for Post Pay Counter Pro it shows 2 views!
Same thing with this interview with Boy George –
We have loads of views on google analytics, but yours shows 1 view – which is definitely not correct.
How can we get the numbers to correspond? They should match my Google analytics exactly if it is pulling the numbers from the same source. Could it be a problem with another plugin that also pulls numbers from my Google Analytics? I also use Google Analyticator, Google Analytics for WordPress, and Top 10 – all of which are showing consistent numbers.
Emma
KeymasterSorry for the deluge of replies, but there is still an error. The earnings seem to have gone down for a number of users – someone was on $3.05 yesterday and now they are on 1.37, with some of their posts having no views.
Emma
KeymasterRefreshed the page and it seems to be okay now. Any tips on stopping this happening again?
Stefano
KeymasterThanks for the errors, they are useful. Could you try revoking Analytics authorization and setting it up again?
Indira
KeymasterHi
Yes it is checked on this window: Post Pay Counter > Options > Counting Settings > Visits contribute… also here: > Use Google Analytics is checked,What do you mean by this? both for general and personalized settings (if any).
I don’t see anywhere to check for this option – where are personalized settings? For each user? These are also checked.
I’m getting this error log as well:

KeymasterPlease check that Post Pay Counter > Options > Counting Settings > Visits contribute… > Use Google Analytics is checked, both for general and personalized settings (if any).
Let me know!

KeymasterHi Thank you for sending the new plugin. The counter is still showing 0 views on all the posts after I installed the update, although my google analytics is showing different stats on the posts in question – what can I do to get the plugin to synch with my Google Analytics? There must be something not connecting. I just installed it – how do I get the counter to update? I updated the days to 120 and it is still showing 0 on all the post views.
“It is advised to update data manually again from Options > Google Analytics Status > Update data to correct any misbehaviour.”
Please advise.
Emma
KeymasterThank you so much, updated and everything is fixed.
Stefano
KeymasterTe l’ho mandata per email adesso 🙂
Matteo
