    Hi Em,
you need to update first: several bugs have been fixed in later versions, among one the one you reported. If you can’t find an update in the WP dashboard/plugin list, I’ve just resent you the purchase receipt with a newly valid link to download the latest release.

    Let me know! 🙂
    Have a nice day,

    Hi Em,
what version are you running? Look at the upper-right corner of the Options page.

Is there a way for to change a user’s settings so that it takes effect from the day of the change and not retroactively.

No, there’s no options to do that, I’m afraid. However, there’s a kind of a way around it.
The trick is to make sure the user has no pending payment when you change his settings (so the due payment should be at 0). In fact, if you mark as paid the author before changing his settings, the plugin stores the payments related to each counting type, and doesn’t rely on current user settings. This way, new settings will only be used for later posts (i.e. posts that have not been paid yet).
Does this help/Is this clear? 🙂

    Have a nice day,
    Stefano

    That did the trick!

I’m going to have to watch out for that in the future. I was going insane trying to figure that out, lol.

But I may have another dilemma now.

Is there a way for to change a user’s settings so that it takes effect from the day of the change and not retroactively.

For example, the user I showed you an example of has written 10 posts for “free” but starting on his 11th post til infinite I want to pay $5 per post. The 10 posts is the minmimum posts for users to write to make sure that they know what they’re doing before I bump the pay up.

I just changed his guarantee pay per post setting and it got applied to all of his posts, even ones he’s written years ago.

Is there a way around this or could this feature be implemented in future update. Like a check box or something that we’d check if we want payment option retroactively applied or not from the date of the change.

    Thanks!

    Hi Brennen,
    here’s how to fix:
go to Post Pay Counter > Options > Personalize settings > Administrator > Your username > Permissions settings > make sure the third checkbox is ticked and Save options.

    Does this solve?

    I’m having the same issue.

    Here’s a screen grab video: http://screencast.com/t/5oPoIT4ws2

Notice how when I save it, things look fine but then when I refresh the user’s info, it resets as if the change never took place.

I really need this feature as the starting rates get increased once I approve them and it differs from person to person.

I haven’t touched anything since I solved your problem, so if it happened recently it was not done by me… Maybe just reactivating it would fix?

It appears that only the free version of PPC is activated, the pro version is not. Was this intentional? How did you fix it,so I can know what was wrong with it?

Maybe his payment is set to -.01 instead of .01, that would explain that every visit that gets logged is a cent less.

Unfortunately there are a variety of reasons why it could be happening. Does that user has special settings?

Thank you, worked. But there´s a user that down the value to receive in a day to another. Seems that the program take off some number like -3,45 -3,56 and she lost many part of their money to receive and I don´t have any idea of how this happens

I’m 99% sure that won’t happen, it should just be you that see my name during the payment process, but your authors will see money coming from you 🙂
