1) How are the FB shares counted? I have two FB share options in my blog; one at the bottom of post that comes with Jetpack and other at the top of post that is my theme feature. If I share any post through Jetpack share option it gets counted in the earnings, but the theme one is not counted. How to make sure both gets counted?
2) For few of my posts I can see there are more than 300 shares, but I am sure that post did not get shared so many times. So I am skeptical that even the likes or engagement gets counted in the shares? Is it true?
You can gather Facebook numbers through their own test tool:
https://developers.facebook.com/tools/explorer/?method=GET&path=%3Fids%3Dhttps%3A%2F%2Fen.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FHilbert_curve&version=v2.8Just enter the URL of your pages (one by one) in the tool and see what numbers you get. Let me know if they are different than the ones Post Pay Counter shows.
Also, notice that shares numbers actually include both shares AND likes, so that may account for them being a little higher.

Unfortunately, no. Facebook provides the data that way, with shares and likes jointly. I guess that’s because when someone likes your page, it does also show up in their profile feed in the form of “I just liked this page such-and-such”, and so there’s a share involved as well 🙂
