    Hi Stefano,

When I try to access stats I get a 500 error.

This error code is displayed in options

    `May 17, 2017 13:25:25
An error was thrown with code “ppcp_update_settings_error”, message “Error: could not update settings.” and debug data “array (

    Hi John,
The error log is useless in this case.

You should look in the error.log of your server to find out what the real error is. You may need to ask help from your host if you are not able to find/access it yourself.

    Let me know!
    Have a nice day,
    Stefano

Not much to learn from the error log.

In the domain error log was a whole of of entries such as this:

    [11-Jul-2017 09:07:41 UTC] RETURN FLATTENED
    [11-Jul-2017 09:07:50 UTC] RETURN FLATTENED
    [11-Jul-2017 09:07:50 UTC] RETURN FLATTENED

And in the servier error logs only

    2017-07-23 01:12:41.309 File not found… /css/temp.php]
    2017-07-23 File not found /403.shtml]

Now all I see when I try yo load stats is a blank page which looks like this

    <html>
    <head></head>
    <body></body>
    </html>

These are the only plugins that I think might be causing any conflict.
    Async JavaScript: 2.17.06.13
Google Analytics Dashboard for WP (GADWP): 5.1.1.1
    JSON API: 1.1.1
Remove Query Strings From Static Resources: 1.4
    Async JavaScript
    WP Super Cache

Does the issue happen only on the PPC stats page, or even on other pages? Could you please try deactivating all other plugins but Post Pay Counter and see if the issue goes away?

    Have a nice day,
    Stefano

    Hello Stefano,

Disabling those plugins had no effect. Still just getting a white page when attempting to access stats.

We can’t deactivate all plugins or else our site will fall apart. We can’t test it on on test site because the pro version can only be used on one site at a time. And there have been no other new plugins installed that would cause this problem.

It only happens on the stats page. The settings page is fine.

    Thank you

    Hi John,
    I am frankly a bit clueless…

    What is weird is that

    [11-Jul-2017 09:07:50 UTC] RETURN FLATTENED

Is not really an error at all, it seems something caused by some third party service/packet/plugin. I would suggest asking your host if they have any clue. Also, if it were my server, I would run a search in ALL files on the server for RETURN FLATTENED (In Ubuntu, there’s Searchmonkey), hoping to find a clue in some file.

Let me know how this goes!

    Have a nice day,
    Stefano

There are no errors in my error log any longer. Haven’t been for some time. They must have been server related.

Anyway. I’ve renewed all the links for GA and it still goes to a white page.

I’m going to delete the Pro app and reinstall from an older version. The updates don’t update anyway. Otherwise it says it is in expiry and if I can’t get it to work there isn’t much point paying for it.

I don’t know – if there are no errors it becomes very difficult to troubleshoot an issue. We could try to do it together on Skype/something, and see if we get somewhere. Ideally, I would tweak the code step by step and see where the page hangs.

Anyway, if you would like me to temporarily extend your license so that you may activate it on another website to test it, let me know! No problem! 🙂

    Have a nice day,
    Stefano

    Hi Stefano,

Sure. We are GMT +7 so afternoon your time would work.

There’s no error messages. Just a white screen when it goes to https://xxxxxxx.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=ppc-stats

    Thanks,

    John
