follow up to thread:
we applied the permalink modifications and gave 100% revenue sharing for the purposes of testing unfortunately our traffic is very low and it took 4 months for someone to earn a penny according to analytics the entire site has earned 52 cents in that time but your plug in is reporting only 43 cents so far and not yet giving credit to the author either just wondering if theres a delay in the reporting or if theres any other way we can verify what we did is actually working?
thanks!
June 19, 2017 at 10:49 pm #56965StefanoKeymasterYou should keep in mind that only revenue generated on posts/pages is taken into account by the plugin. Revenue coming from the homepage, category pages, and so on, is not relevant. Could this be the reason? ๐
Have a nice day,
StefanoJune 19, 2017 at 10:53 pm #56968ubernautGuestyeah that makes sense for the 52 versus 43 but analytics is reporting 1 cents for a post but the penny is not showing up as being assigned to the author of that post. also this site is doing something weird on safari for mac:

Is the penny very recent a revenue? Maybe it still has to be drawn in, could that be? Or, do you have any time limits on the publication time of posts that may account for this (look in the Google Analytics Settings box in plugin options)?

Thanks for reporting, I’ll see to take care of it!
Have a nice day, ๐
StefanoJune 20, 2017 at 5:28 pm #56978ubernautGuestyeah i think its earned most of the penny two days ago:
June 20, 2017 at 6:12 pm #56980StefanoKeymasterOkay, so maybe let’s just wait 1/2 days an see if Stats line up ๐

June 26, 2017 at 10:36 am #57097StefanoKeymasterAre there any errors in the Error log in the plugin Options page? Can you post screenshots of the Analytics Status and of the Analytics Settings boxes please? Also, post your System information (Post Pay Counter > System Info).
Have a nice da,

Now I remember: it’s an issue with AnsPress I had already unraveled at the time of your other topic, all details in this post. This still applies. All revenue is correctly being pulled from Analytics (I looked at internal logs), but it all goes to the page Answer questions. Please refer to my other post to know how this could be solved (custom work) ๐
Have a nice day,
StefanoJune 26, 2017 at 6:45 pm #57107ubernautGuestwed did change the rule structure you are saying its still not right?
thanks!
June 26, 2017 at 6:45 pm #57109ubernautGuesturl structure not rule structure sorry ๐
June 26, 2017 at 7:03 pm #57111StefanoKeymasterUnfortunately, it seems like the answer is no ๐
Looks like AnsPress treats all question pages as being the same as the one in which you have put the [anspress] shortcode. This will need some code tweaks, I think it cannot be solved otherwise, I’m afraid…
June 26, 2017 at 7:04 pm #57114StefanoKeymasterIf you are a developer and feel comfortable changing the code/hooking to the plugin, here is the approach that would work. Otherwise, I can put up a small addon that will work and will not break future updates for little money ๐
June 27, 2017 at 5:26 pm #57117ubernautGuesthow much are we talking for this? if i understand correctly this would work with our changed url structure as well yeah?
June 27, 2017 at 6:48 pm #57119StefanoKeymasterI’d say โฌ15 ๐ And yes, it would work with your current setup.
Have a nice day,
StefanoJune 27, 2017 at 8:43 pm #57123ubernautGuestthat sounds pretty awesome. i know we haven’t run updates on this thing recently, just trying to manage cost for the lady since we weren’t really sure this thing would even work. let me know how we do this.
thanks!
