On April 17 2018, we discovered a bug in the Publisher Bonus addon that led to wrong due payment calculation under some circumstances. Unfortunately, those circumstances are not so odd, so it’s likely that you have been affected by it.
You have probably been affected by the bug if:
- you use the additional bonus features, to award reviewers a bonus depending on how many words/visits/something the reviewed post has
- reviewed posts have more than one payment for what concerns the publisher bonus.
Version 1.6 fixed the issue, but it probably introduced some negative figures in your balance. In particular, some authors may now have negative due payments. In that case, you have mis-paid some authors for their publisher bonus, which may have been paid more than once.
We are deeply sorry (and embarrassed) for what happened, and we apologize. Of course, we realize that there may be quite some money at stake, so simple apologize may not be enough.
