I’m in the process of bringing on up to 100 new writers and after extensive testing, thought I was ready to go but nw I noticed something strange.
The visits aren’t matching what Google Analytics has in place for the articles.
Here’s a screenshot where I pointed out 3 articles in particular and highlighted the unique visits.

And here’s a screenshot of the admin page for the author whose articles those are and notice how the counter says 0 for some reason for 2 of the articles.

The article with Ariana Grande in the url is 10 visits off from what Google has in its place, but the other two articles state 0.
All three of these articles are at least a week old so stats should have populated by now and also I’m running the latest version of your program.
Any help would be appreciated. I don’t understand why no visits are being counted for these two articles.

And please keep in mind that there are other articles from other authors experiencing the same thing. Just grabbed 3 articles from one author and hopefully whatever fix you come up with can translate throughout all the other articles.

Have you already tried to pull data manually from Google Analytics status > Update data? I need to understand if it’s a general problem or just with the daily auto update routine…
It may be just a general update problem because other posts are accounted for…

Yeah sorry for the trouble, it may take some time… every time the stats page is loaded rows are processed. There’s a 10 seconds delay between each update though.
I updated things manually and views seem close enough. I think it was an update issue all along.
How do we prevent them from happening again in future? I don’t want to have to keep doing this manually every so often.

Please enable the debug mode for Analytics – if the issue shows up again I’ll have data to troubleshoot the thing 🙂
