Oh sorry! I don’t get a notification for private posts so I missed it! I’m going to look into this right now! ๐
January 23, 2017 at 8:28 pm #54184ubernautGuestno problem thanks! ๐
January 23, 2017 at 8:43 pm #54186StefanoKeymasterCan I update both plugins to their latest versions or is there any specific reason why you are withholding the update? ๐
January 23, 2017 at 8:46 pm #54189ubernautGuestno sorry go ahead ๐ this site wasn’t built by me and its a bit weird how it was built we’ve had a lot of trouble getting the thing going so far so have been trying to minimize my billable time at this point since i am already well over the original budget. ๐
January 23, 2017 at 8:56 pm #54191StefanoKeymasterOkay, no problem ๐
I have run a new manual import of Analytics data and it seems to me figures are correct. At least (looking at the logs), data is being correctly drawn from Analytics and processed. If it still doesn’t match your expectations, can you provide a couple screenshots of Analytics figures? In particular, a screenshot of the Analytics dashboard for a post which shows up with a wrong visits number in Post Pay Counter stats.
Have a nice day,
StefanoJanuary 23, 2017 at 9:05 pm #54194ubernautGuestit definitely looks better now but i think it must still not be quite right because the total number of sessions reported in GA is 413 and your reporting shows 303 (only 302 accounted for in the authors) i am happy to give you GA access as well but i need an gmail address to add so you can tell me if it looks right to you or not. Funny story the adsense reported just started working all of the sudden also. :/

The difference may come from the fact that Analytics counts visits/sessions site-wide, whereas the plugin keeps track only of pageviews in posts/pages/post types included in stats. So, for example, all pageviews of the homepage are not counted.

Okay, I will email you my gmail account. But please, keep the conversation here anyway ๐
January 23, 2017 at 9:13 pm #54199ubernautGuestno problem, wonder if our custom post types are a problem. :/
January 23, 2017 at 9:14 pm #54201StefanoKeymasterwonder if our custom post types are a problem
Probably no. Every post/custom post you see in the stats page will have visits pulled from Analytics ๐
January 23, 2017 at 9:29 pm #54204ubernautGuest#7, 15 and a few of the lower ranked posts from your screen do have visits but are not registering in the report. I’m wondering though if the adsense reporting is now working in our GA maybe we shouldn’t burn too many more calories on the post views based stats?
January 23, 2017 at 9:47 pm #54206StefanoKeymasterOh well, it looks like Anspress is using some kind of non-standard custom post type. It’s doing something that makes WP functions useless (for technical info, see here). All visits/revenues from questions go to the Answer questions page (ID 5). Maybe if questions were not under that page (i.e. the permalink was /would-you-trade-places-with-someone-for-a-day-if-you-could/ instead of /answer-questions/question/would-you-trade-places-with-someone-for-a-day-if-you-could/) it would work, but as it is now, it just won’t work at all. WordPress is not able to fetch the question ID given its permalink, which is essential to map Analytics visits to site posts.
January 23, 2017 at 10:40 pm #54209ubernautGuestWell we had already planned to add payment split functionality to your plugin after we got everything working the way it was supposed to out of the box. Do you think we can add this functionality programmatically or you think its simply never going to be possible using this theme?
thanks!

It will require a bit of custom work, but I think it can be done ๐

January 30, 2017 at 8:17 pm #54335ubernautGuesthey there we were looking at this and we are having a bit of trouble finding some things we need to look at, you have a lot of code here to look through here. ๐ Specifically we are looking for where the adsense revenue sharing data is stored in the DB. Also, if you could tell us where the function is that determines the share percentage payout for authors.
January 30, 2017 at 8:45 pm #54338ubernautGuesthey small update e found the data in the DB but could still use the location of the function. ๐
January 30, 2017 at 10:12 pm #54344StefanoKeymasterHi there,
all Adsense related functions are located in classes/ppcp_adsense_class.php.You probably want to look at get_revenue() and get_revenue_payment() ๐
