    1. We tried installing the Post Pay Counter PRO plugin on our development server for http://www.soompi.com.

    2. We tried the Google Analytics integration, but wasn’t able to get it to work due to the following error message:

    July 17, 2016 18:24:28
    An error was thrown with code "ga_write_temp_file_error", message "Error: could not write temp file content." and debug data "array (
      'file_path' => '/opt/soompi/wp-content/plugins/post-pay-counter-pro/temp/ga/ppcp_ga_request_data_temp_1468805068.8489.txt',
    )".

    3. After looking around the forum, we found that the solution is to set the permissions on post-pay-counter-pro/temp and all its subfolders/files to have 777 permissions.

    4. Once we fixed the permissions issue though, we started getting fatal errors from the plugin. This happened both on our development server and on our local development machines.

    [21-Jul-2016 06:14:03 UTC] PHP Warning: fread(): Length parameter must be greater than 0 in /Users/susan/soompi_viki/wp-content/plugins/post-pay-counter-pro/classes/ppcp_google_analytics_class.php on line 716

    [21-Jul-2016 06:14:03 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Cannot use object of type WP_Error as array in /Users/susan/soompi_viki/wp-content/plugins/post-pay-counter-pro/classes/ppcp_google_analytics_class.php on line 678

    Do you know what is wrong and what we can do to fix it?

    Hi Jonathon,
    make sure the folder (and files inside it) post-pay-counter-pro/temp has (at least) 775 permissions. Then delete all files inside it, clear the plugin error log and try again to update Analytics data through the apt feature in the Google Analytics Status box. Do the errors persist?

    Have a nice day,
    Stefano

    Thanks, Stefano. It seems to work now!
