I am looking to pay the first 3 people that comment on a post correctly. I will approve the comments to be paid, and can use functions already built in to limit how many times each post is paid. My issue now is comments are being paid to the poster. It looks like payments can only be applied to posters and authors. Or let me know if you can think of a workaround. Once this issue is sorted, the site will be one step closer to start generating revenue.

Yes that’s correct. However, there is a developer tutorial on how to add your own payment criteria. I don’t know if this helps, but since the comments payment is always awarded to the creator of the post, this is all I can point you to 🙂
