I haven’t quite figured out Custom Post Types yet, so my work-around is categories. We have 3 distinct kinds of posts, short news story, long form and events (we just use the post edit for events instead of a fancy events plugin). It would be nice to be able to designate the kind of payment and the rate based on category and by post type.

I must give my support to this feature. Currently I have writers for News and some really delicate ones for Quality Articles. I would like to pay the ones who write News a smaller rate than those who write Quality Articles.
Please Stefano can you code this feature sooner please? You’re the best! 🙂
It is now available Category Custom Settings, an addon that allows to set different payment settings for different categories! 🙂
