A few of my members are now seeing negative balances and refusing to write for the website until the issue is resolved.

I have installed the updates today, and manually updated GA. Manually updating and waiting for all rows to clear didn’t solve the problem – there are still negative amount.

I just pushed an update which fixes a couple of issues, it may solve this one too. Could you post/send a screenshot of the tooltip of a negative payment? Thanks, and sorry about this!

I now have the opposite problem, where users have something like 49,000 views.

Happened all by itself? All of a sudden numbers went crazy?

Please try to update Analytics data manually and see if it the problem fixes itself this way.

    Have a nice day,
    Stefano

Updating GA manually has left me with negative figures again.

Yes, do you have set a visit time limit in the plugin’s Analytics settings? If yes, what happens is that when you manually update, all posts older than the given visits time limit won’t get any views recorded. Unfortunately, this cannot be technically fixed. I had never noticed this problem, and I think I’ll end up retiring the visits time limit feature.
So now you have two choices:

    1. You keep the negative figures and bulk-mark-as-paid all writers (not paypal, just mark as paid). Payments will be reset to zero, and the only drawbacks are that a) some visits may get lost in the way, cause they kind of balance the negative amounts, but b) it’s quick and doesn’t give any more problems.
    2. You give your users temporary permission to mark their posts as paid and ask them to mark as paid all posts having 0 visits, which is what I’d do. This is the safest way (no views will be lost), but possibly time consuming.

I’m terribly sorry about this, really. Unfortunately, I can’t do anything about it. There’s no way I can technically solve this.
I hope this is not causing excessive trouble to you and your site.

I’m available for any more information/request.

    Hi there,
the visits time limit was reintroduced with PRO version 1.5.3 fixing the issue of negative balances on manual updates. When pulling data manually, the time limit is discarded, but it is kept in account on daily updates.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if anything’s not behaving correctly or if you have any doubts. Sorry again for the trouble.

    Have a nice day,
    Stefano
