    Hi

Currently, when you change the role of a user and the payment settings of the new role are different from the previous one, all the statistics before the change are also changed, this is not always interesting. For the use I intend to make of the plugin, the more interesting would be that the statistics before the change of role were maintained and only from the change that began to count with the new value. Is it possible to insert this option?

I intend to use the plugin to manage a payment system, where the editor will start earning certain amount which will increase, according to their performance.

In order not to be unfair, when earnings are marked as paid, in the payment history the old value is recorded, only in general statistics that are not.

I hope you understand my suggestion, without doubt would be an excellent improvement of the plugin and would benefit many users.

    Thank you.

    Hi Marlley,
sorry for the delay in replying.

I see your point, but the fact is that it would be terribly difficult to add this option because of how the plugin has been designed. It would also be a tough hit on performance. So, I’m afraid the option is not there and is likely never to be.

However, what you can do, and is almost equivalent to what you want to achieve, is mark the author as paid before changing his role. This will set in stone all previous stats in the form of a payment history record, and only new stats will use the new settings. Of course, if the payment history record gets deleted, some old stats will pop up again and will use the new settings. This method requires that payment histories are never edited, at least not for old records.

    Does this help? 🙂

    Have a nice day,
    Stefano
