Wale
GuestEven after restricting all other user roles but “admin” from being able to see options and make payments, I’ve noticed that users registered as contributors also have these rights on my site.

KeymasterHi Wale,
can you post a complete screenshot/print of your Options page? You can mark the reply as private if you want to, so other people won’t be able to see it.Have a nice day,

KeymasterOkay, could you detail some more on what exactly users see and shouldn’t see? Keep in mind that permissions set in the general options do not apply to users who have custom settings (look at the Personalize settings box).
Have a nice day,

GuestUsers registered as “Contributors” see the stats for all roles even when the permission isnt set for them under options. Contributors also see the checkboxes that allow you pay even though this should only be visible to the admin.

KeymasterPlease look at the Personalize settings box and see if there are contributors with special settings. If they have different settings for Permissions, that’s the cause ๐

GuestThere are no contributors with personalised settings. This error is happening will all users with Contributor role – even when I create a new user from scratch, the same thing happens.

KeymasterSorry for the delay, missed your post!
If you are fine with granting me temporary admin access, I can look into the issue myself directly ๐

KeymasterThanks. I’ll create a new Contributor so I can test it.

KeymasterThis is what I see logging in as a Contributor, no Post Pay Counter menu (will remove the screenshot as soon as you have seen it, if you want to):

KeymasterNo, I still can’t (not with the ppc_test user as well).

KeymasterThe user is ppc_test. You can change the password to whatever you want so I don’t have to post it here ๐

KeymasterOkay, it looks like there is a bug with the Admins override all permissions feature (Miscellanea box). I’ve disabled it for now and Contributors see what they ought to. Will dive into this better tomorrow and release an update ASAP, sorry for the hiccup!
Do you have any plugin to manually change role permissions? Do you know if users other than admins have the capability manage_options? Thanks.

I think the answer to this was yes. Anyway, I’ve already fixed it and re-checked Admins override permissions ๐
Hope everything is fine now!Have a nice day,
