    Hello,

First, thank you for the plugin. I have purchased it and all of the add-ons.

We have followed the tutorials and updated the Google Analytics data, but the numbers are way off. For example, one of my authors is showing 2 Visits, but Google is reporting 2,188 for the same timefram. All numbers are off for visits/pageviews no matter what settings I try. We are hoping to use this tool for payments on views, so it’s important to get these numbers correct. Can you assist?

    Hi Jason,
of course numbers need to match! Have you already used the Update data feature in the Analytics Status box? In case, did you pick a starting point that matches the time frame you are selecting on the Google Analytics dashboard and against which you are making the comparison? Also, to make sure the plugin is working as expected, it is better to compare single posts rather than aggregate totals per author 🙂

    Let me know!
    Have a nice day,
    Stefano

Thank you for the quick reply. I have followed the instructions and am comparing single posts. GA reports several thousand page views, but Post Pay is only reflecting a few. I’ve set the time range to the same window (April) for each test.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to troubleshoot.

    Thanks,

I’ve set the time range to the same window (April) for each test.

Please notice that the time range in stats only affects what posts are displayed depending on their publication date, but doesn’t affect the visits data that is displayed. Can you confirm that, when talking about the same time window, you are not referring to this? The Analytics time window is set through the Analytics Update data feature. Does this make sense to you? 🙂

    Have a nice day,
    Stefano

Thank you for the follow-up. I am attempting to get April view stats to appear in Post Pay Counter. No matter which settings I use, it only shows a small fraction of the views that Google Analytics is showing. Is there any way to pull a complete record of April stats from Google Analytics into Post Pay Counter?

Alternatively, I have setup Slimstat and it is logging new views correctly in Post Pay Counter, but it would be nice to have Google Analytics.

Setting April, 1st in the Update Data feature in the Google Analytics Status box should do it. Doesn’t it work? Otherwise there may be an issue with attribution of Analytics paths to WordPress posts where the slug in Analytics doesn’t match the permalink in WordPress.

    Have a nice day,
    Stefano
