I have a database that creates wordpress posts whenever a customer purchases a text.
EXAMPLE 1. a customer orders a text of 400 words, the copywriter will be paid 2$ (e.g. 0,05 $ per word)
For that text, I thus want to make “basic, assured payment” of 2$
EXAMPLE 2. It is also possible that a customer buys a text of 2000 words, the “basic, assured payment” should then be 10$

I can’t simply use “payment on word counting” because in example 1, the writer of the text can actually write 600 words instead of 400 and get 3$ instead of 2$. But I only want to pay the fixed amount of 2$

Can you think of a solution?

First thing I can think of is set a basic payment of zero, and then using the payment bonus PRO feature, which allows you to award each post a specific bonus, different every time. For every post you would thus set its payment in the post editing page with no predefined rule. Could this work?

    Have a nice day,

Actually, what I am looking for is a way to customize the fixed fee. Is there a way (in the code) to make a reference to an external database?

    E.g. basic_payment = predefined_wordcount_of_the_text*0,05

predefined_wordcount_of_the_text then is found in a database on my site

(I’m not a technical person, so i’m just suggesting some options)

Setting the bonus for each post will require manual work, while i want to automate the “variable fee” a writer gets for the text.

Well, hooks are in place in the code to allow custom handling and editing of each payment, but if you’re not technically skilled you’ll someone to do that for you 🙂
