HI,
Just installed this and working in cojunction with slimstat.
The number of views and payment calculation are negative. Eg Page Views -26 and the subsequent payment is a negative value.
Thank you.
September 16, 2015 at 4:29 pm #46299JohnKeymasterWhile I was seeing results in the stats view now I am seeing nothing. Simply a message “No posts reach the threshold”
Thank you

Negative visits happen when it has not been possible to include the filewp-slimstat/admin/view/wp-slimstat-db.php
please make sure that file is available and has the right permissions to be opened by my plugin.
As for your other problem, go to Post Pay Counter > Options > Counting settings > Total payment and try to uncheck Pay only when the total payment threshold is reached.
Have a nice day,
StefanoSeptember 17, 2015 at 4:38 pm #46334JohnKeymasterHi Stefano,
Thanks. Yes, that fixed it. I had found the solution before coming back here.
The error occurs if Pay only when the total payment threshold is reached and the threshold setting is blank or zero.
I reinstalled slimstats and everything worked.
At the moment we’re still setting the site up. I suspect we’ll move up to the Pro version fairly soon.
Would there be a way to set the payment system up based on page visits but have one bonus payment for one level of work and a separate bonus payment for a second level of work? EG. $X for a rewrite and $Y for original work?
Thank you,
John

I’m afraid there’s no automatic mechanism that could help you in this. However, the plugin does offer the ability to assign a custom manual bonus to a post.

StefanoSeptember 18, 2015 at 6:13 pm #46380JohnKeymasterHi,
I checked wp-slimstat/admin/view/wp-slimstat-db.php and permissions are (0644)
Still negative numbers.
It also isn’t showing all of the authors that Slimstats says have had pageviews.
(I’m also not convinced Slimstats is accurately recording all visits and have logged a ticket with them)
September 19, 2015 at 7:49 am #46399StefanoKeymasterOh, didn’t reinstalling Slimstats solve the issue? Did it work at least for a while?
September 19, 2015 at 4:32 pm #46417JohnKeymasterIt worked for a short time. But it’s not updating currently.
Slimstats is odd also. We’re in Asean and all of our stories are Asean news stories yet according to Slimstats we’ve had no visitors from Asean.
September 19, 2015 at 8:04 pm #46446StefanoKeymasterI’d say there’s something wrong with slimstats then. If it worked, even briefly, it means my plugin / addon works fine, but that something breaks slimstats and maybe its files… The fact that it’s also not counting views correctly is a warning bell to me as well.
Have a nice day,
StefanoSeptember 21, 2015 at 5:37 am #46620JohnKeymasterYes. Slimstats said to clear the W3T cache fully which I have done, but it is not counting correctly still and PPC has only recorded one view each for five authors only and everything is a negative number. Will keep working with them to try and see what is going on.
September 21, 2015 at 7:36 am #46622StefanoKeymasterOk do let me know if you find something wrong with PPC or the addon ๐
September 28, 2015 at 10:01 am #46855JohnKeymasterI think we’ll just go pro and not worry about SlimStats.
It’s strange though as Slimstats is showing more authors having been read than what PPC is showing so I don’t really know where the problem is.
September 28, 2015 at 11:44 am #46856JohnKeymasterI deleted the ppc_wp_slimstat plugin and reinstalled it correctly this time. My bad. Now it’s a sing;e php file in /contents/plugins.
Now when setting up there’s an error message: The specified visits callback returned NULL for a random post – are you sure it is correct?
September 28, 2015 at 2:01 pm #46862StefanoKeymasterAre you sure you have correctly spelled the callback name?
September 30, 2015 at 8:49 am #46908JohnKeymasterppc_wp_slimstat_views
September 30, 2015 at 8:53 am #46909JohnKeymasterSorry. Accidental post. That’s the callback.
I think it’s Slimstats. We’re in Thailand and it’s showing not a single visit from Asia.
It’s total pageview count per day is way, way below either GA or Jetpack.
September 30, 2015 at 6:18 pm #46927StefanoKeymasterYes, that could be… If my addon is active, I frankly don’t know, sorry! :
October 19, 2015 at 6:58 am #48057JohnKeymasterSlimstats is not showing the same number of pageviews as Google or JetPack, which are both showing the same figure.
Slimstats is not showing any visits from Asia where we are based, which is impossible. Alexa shows the majority of views from Asia.
Slimstats is showing more authors’ pages have been viewed than what is showing in PPS
I think we’ll just install the Pro version and see if that works better. Will see if the Thai baht can improve a little first. The exchange rate is a killer at the moment.
Thanks very much. Greatly appreciate the input.
