I only have myself and one other author and May was our first month. All month, everything appears fine and I could see my other authors count on each post, but I had not ran a report until today.
Today, only my numbers are showing, nothing shows for my other author. When I go to one of her individual posts, instead of showing the counts, it shows “Error: no posts were selected”.
She did not actually earn any money this month because counts are low. But that should not stop the view count from showing in the individual posts should it?
June 2, 2015 at 8:09 am #43213StefanoKeymasterHi Denise,
I haven’t exactly understood what your issue is. IWhich one of the following two is it?- It worked fine for May, but now you’re not seeing May posts anymore.
- You’re trying to see June posts, but nothing shows up
Have a nice day,
StefanoJune 2, 2015 at 5:04 pm #43231Denise FreemanKeymasterThe stats report and the individual report you can see from each post, all worked until the end of the month for both my own and my other authors posts.
Since the end of the month, when I use the stats date function to show from 5/1 – 5/31, it shows only me, not my other author.
When I go into an individual post for my other author is shows “Error: no posts were selected”, on every single one of her posts. Since I advertise both her posts and mine in the exact same places, I find it very hard to believe not a single visit on any of her posts but every one of my posts has multiple visits.
The report from 6/1 – 6/2 is showing nothing for either of us, even though I know there were views. My individual posts show a total of about 80 to 100 views, but nothing is showing on the stats page.
If you need to see it firsthand, I can give you a admin login to work with.
June 2, 2015 at 8:03 pm #43241StefanoKeymasterThe temp admin login would be really helpful, thanks!
June 2, 2015 at 9:46 pm #43245Denise FreemanKeymasterI may be overlooking it (I’m the almost blind lady), but is there an email I can send you login details?
June 2, 2015 at 10:17 pm #43248Denise FreemanKeymasternever mind, I finally found it. Sorry about that.
June 3, 2015 at 2:08 pm #43292StefanoKeymasterHi Denise,
sorry for the delay.
It should be fine now, check it out. It was just a problem of permissions: I’ve just granted the first two permissions (ability to see other people’s general and detailed stats) to everybody, if you’d like it not to be so, you’ll need to untick them from the general settings and personalize your user’s settings through the Personalize settings box and grant them only to your user (and any other users you’d like to) 🙂Have a nice day,
StefanoJune 3, 2015 at 5:51 pm #43300Denise FreemanKeymasterThanks for your help! I appreciate it greatly!
June 3, 2015 at 5:58 pm #43302Denise FreemanKeymasterOne other thing I just noticed, might be a bug. When downloading the excel csv file, it is not opening properly in Excel 2013. Each row all cells are loaded into the first cell.
I think I am seeing a semi colon instead of a comma between cells. Can’t be sure because it is very hard for me to see the difference. But it most assuredly is not load into excel 2013.
June 3, 2015 at 9:21 pm #43321StefanoKeymasterI’ve just tried it out with the csv from your own site and it works fine for me. Apparently, this is a mess though, check this out:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/17953679/how-to-correctly-display-csv-files-within-excel-2013June 4, 2015 at 3:41 am #43347Denise FreemanKeymasterIf I am understanding that article correctly, making the changes they suggest will make Post Pay Counter Pro’s csv file work correctly, but it will make all the other downloadable excel files from my country stop working. That is not acceptable. It would be easier to hand key everything from PPCP than attempt to do the same for Google, Paypal and the others.
Multiple possible solutions were shown, but of course it was the last one that finally worked. Just a pain to try to remember all 5 steps when they will only be completed once a month. But that is not your fault. Microsoft strikes again.
Thanks for your help and have a GREAT day.
June 4, 2015 at 8:21 am #43355StefanoKeymasterOnly thing that comes to my mind is try to install some alternative csv viewer, such as Libreoffice, and see if you can set it up to display European csvs correctly without breaking Office.
Have a nice day,
