Hello Stefano,
Is there a way to set up automatic payments via paypal? E.g. for the first day of every months, based on views for the given author. If yes then I am definitely buying this π
Thank you
DavidJune 11, 2020 at 10:37 am #73022StefanoKeymasterHi David,
no, we require the admin to always enter PayPal credentials to authorize payment for security reasons πA nice day,
StefanoJune 11, 2020 at 11:08 am #73024DavidGuestThanks for the quick reply. And how about the possibility to enter the required sum only once (for all authors), and the money gets distributed to their respective PayPal accounts automatically based on the selected criteria? So that I would not have to enter the specific sum for each author and do each payment individually.
June 13, 2020 at 6:48 am #73062StefanoKeymasterI’m not sure I understand what you mean with “the required sum” :\
So that I would not have to enter the specific sum for each author and do each payment individually.
The thing is that you don’t have to! The plugin will calculate that for you, basing on the criteria you set in the settings page. Then it takes a couple clicks to actually pay people. I would advise to try out the free version – once you get how that works, then you should just imagine adding the payment option on top. But the basic idea behind the plugin stays the same π
June 13, 2020 at 7:03 am #73066DavidGuestSorry I wasn’t clear enough. For instance I want to pay the authors $1 per 1000 views on their posts.
Author 1: 500 views
Author 2: 3000 viewsIs it possible that based on my criteria ($1 per 1000 views) the system calculates how much is owed to each author (ideally for each month)? So the plugin would say hey, you owe $3,50 for this month! And I can enter the sum and the plugin distributes it accordingly ($0,50 for Author 1 and $3 for Author 2)?
The goal being that I enter 1 sum once a month and the rest is taken care of π
June 13, 2020 at 7:06 am #73068StefanoKeymasterBut it’s simpler that that! π
This is what you tell the plugin:
$1 per 1000 views
And then it will be him who will tell you “you owe 0.50 to author A and 3 to author B”.
Does this make sense?June 13, 2020 at 7:08 am #73070DavidGuestOk I see! So it requires paying each author individually? On sites with hundreds of authors this is not the easiest task, but I assume it’s manageable
And this gets updated daily (or on each refresh)? And when I pay the sums (whenever it is), I assume it goes to 0 and starts counting again?
Sorry I have a lot of questions π
June 13, 2020 at 8:35 am #73077StefanoKeymasterNo worries – it’s totally fine to have questions! Also keep in mind
So it requires paying each author individually? On sites with hundreds of authors this is not the easiest task, but I assume itβs manageable
If you pay with PayPal through the plugin, then you can pay up to 6 authors at a time (PayPal limitations). You select them, hit the payment button, review the payment amounts, enter credentials, and it’s done π
And this gets updated daily (or on each refresh)? And when I pay the sums (whenever it is), I assume it goes to 0 and starts counting again?
So this is a bit of a tricky question. In principle, it does update on each refresh. However, on busy sites with lots of authors we support and recommend the use of caching, where stats are regenerated every day. One thing that will always be updated daily and not more often is Analytics/Adsense data.
And then yes, when you pay the Due payment value will drop to zero and start again from there. Here a page/tutorial on payment workflow π
