Hello,
I have got an AdSense Account with HUF as currency. But my authors are paid in Euro. There was already a click, the share percentage was 100% and 108.46 HUF were converted into 0.512 โฌ. The conversion factor isn’t correct, because there should only be about 0.36 โฌ (300:1). Why is the conversion false? How can I correct it?
Best regards
Stephan
December 9, 2017 at 12:54 pm #59442StefanoKeymasterHi Stephan,
the plugin does no currency conversion at all. Look at revenue data shown in Analytics besides Adsense only, and notice that clicks on banners in non-articles pages (such as homepage, category/tag pages and so on) don’t count for the plugin, because they cannot be attributed to any author in particular.Does this help? ๐

the click was attributed to an author. The problem is that my AdSense currency is still shown in USD although I changed it to EUR a few weeks ago. How can I solve this problem?
Thanks.
Best regards
Stephan

You may want to update data manually, so to receive completely updated data. You can do so from Options > Google Analytics Status > Update data. If, instead, the issue is with your Adsense account, not with the data the plugin shows, then I can be of little help. I’d seek support from the Google Adsense if this is the case. ๐

does this problem occur very often? What happens if you change the currency? Does it work for you?
I contacted AdSense now and hopefully the problem will be solved.
Thanks,
Stephan

We have never received any support ticket about this, so I don’t have much prior experience on this, I’m afraid. Also, I have never had to change my adsense currency, so I can’t provide any first-hand experience ๐ But do let me know what Adsense replies! ๐
December 12, 2017 at 10:29 pm #59540StephanGuestHi Stefano,
unfortunately nobody answered my question at AdSense. The problem seems to occur quite often but nobody knows an answer.
But why can I choose to pay authors in EUR per PayPal, if the plugin just takes the USD value from AdSense?
If somebody earns 100 USD he’ll get 100 EUR instead of about 85 EUR.
Is there any way to change from USD to Euro in Analytics? Or is AdSense function only appropriate for people who work with USD as currency?
Or can you integrate a currency conversion into the plugin?
BTW: Don’t you use the plugin yourself? Because you didn’t have to change your currency? Do you only work with USD yourself?
Best regards
Stephan

I feel like the best way to address all your questions is to elaborate on this one:Is there any way to change from USD to Euro in Analytics? Or is AdSense function only appropriate for people who work with USD as currency?
People from all over the world use the Adsense function, so I expect them to be using even with different currencies other than USD.
I should have mentioned this in my first message, and I apologize about this, but one easy way to implement a currency conversion for Adsense in the plugin is to code it into the payment percentage factor, as detailed in this other support topic ๐
Does this help?
Have a nice day,
