Hello,
I am interested in your plugin, but I am curious about how can he work in a situation with different currencies.
I am planning to use your plugin along with your request payment and adsense share feature. The idea is share the adsense revenue with author and allow them to request payments.
The doubt is how this will work in a situation where adsense count values in dollar and the payment must be send in another currency?
I am asking this because due brazilian laws all payments to brazilians must be made in the local currency (BRL) and Adsense record all information using USD.

the plugin currently allows one currency only to be used. There’s no explicit, native way to have Adsense in USD, payments in BRL and have the plugin do the conversion in between, I’m afraid. However, I think you could easily tweak the plugin to get it to do what you need! In fact, the Adsense revenue share feature allows to share with authors a percentage of their ads revenues. You could put the currency change together with the percentage you would like to share, all in the same number. Let me make an example:
Suppose a post generated 10 USD of ads revenues. This roughly equals to 31.6 BRL, at the current exchange rate of 3.16. Suppose you want to give authors 70% of their revenue. Well, if you enter in the plugin 70 x 3.16 = 221.20 as adsense share percentage, you will get the correct BRL amount to show up in payments. The drawback is that you will have to make sure the exchange rate is correct and up-to-date when you make a payment, but it should work flawlessly! 🙂
What do you think?
Have a nice day,

Thanks for your help. I still in doubt about a question about how your plugin manage currencies.
Until where I could understand the basic plugin has a setting where I set what is the payment currency. If I set this information to BRL (R$) and the adsense extension work by default with USD ($) what information will be recorded?
Seems that the paypal extension also has a setting related with currency. In this case what will be the currency used when sending payments considering that I will pay based on adsense?
I am asking this because I was planning to pay my authors each three months that is when I receive my payment from adsense. I was planning to receive the money, calculate manually the convertion rate and send payments using their paypal accounts using your paypal extension, however I am a bit confused about how the plugin will work with these different settings about currencies.
Another doubt that I have is if I change a setting related with a rate like the value that I pay by word or the adsense rate, how these changes will be calculated? Only for future posts?
Example: In 1st I set each work as 0,10, if in day 25 I change to 0,20 all previous posts will be recalculated?

The information that gets recorded is just a number – the currency only matters when you pay out. Even if you receive Adsense payment in USD, if you adjust the share percentage to make it look like they are BRL (because you have basically made the conversion), then when you pay you will be paying BRL.

When paying through the plugin with PayPal, the currency you set in the PayPal settings box is the one that will be used.

Only unpaid earnings will change their payments. If you mark a post as paid, then nothing will happen to the amount that was already paid: only the unpaid amount will change.
Hope this helps! 🙂
Have a nice day,
