KeymasterHis Stefano,
Your plugin for slimStats integration is definitely not working.
I’ve just installed the Pro version and when I set up the counting setting I get an error message:
“The specified visits callback returned NULL for a random post – are you sure it is correct?”
Also when I authorise the GA Status it shows me five of the six domains covered by my GA account and another option of “all website data” but not the name of the domain that PPP Pro is installed on.

KeymasterI went back and deleted reference to the Slimstat’s integration plugin and resaved again with GA selected and that cured the “The specified visits callback returned NULL for a random post – are you sure it is correct?” error message.
Is the “all website data” option correct?
Thanks,
John

KeymasterHi John,
Is the “all website data” option correct?
I guess so. If you want to be sure, go to your Analytics’ account settings and make sure all views/profiles have a correct name, and then try to set up the plugin again. 🙂
Have a nice day,

KeymasterYes. All website data rather than the site name is correct.
But it’s only capturing page views for new posts, not old posts that are being read.
Sorry to be a bother.

KeymasterEvery day the plugin takes Analytics visits from the previous day on ALL blog pages and add them to already stored ones. What distinction do you exactly make between “new posts” and “old posts (being read)”?

KeymasterSorry Stefano,
still getting the error message “The specified visits callback returned NULL for a random post – are you sure it is correct?” when saving “Counting Settings”
New post V old post: something posted prior to installing the Pro version. Ie, past 90-daysThanks you
John

KeymasterTry to erase anything that maybe written in the postmeta value field, even if the field is not selected.
Do you have a visit time limit set in the analytics settings box?November 6, 2015 at 3:27 pm #48893John
KeymasterHi Stefano,
Thank you. Clearing those old metadata settings worked.
Now I see visit data!
I have 60 days set in the GA settings box
Thank you.

KeymasterGreat, glad to know it finally! 🙂
Have a great day,

KeymasterSorry Stefano,
Bit of a false alarm. I finally managed to get rid of the slimstats postmeta details by doing a fresh install. It’s displaying new published articles, but not displaying any visit information for this month. If I backdate the period to the start of last month it shows visits. But for this month zero for one fresh post and stuck on 12 now for the past few days for another.

KeymasterHi John,
Any errors in the error log? I’d advise you to do a fresh analytics import through the Update data feature in the Analytics Status box and see if that fixes. Then if it keeps not updating there must be something interfering with the scheduled job, I guess.Have a nice day,
Stefano -
