Hello,
Do you think there is any possibility of adding Bounce rate and Page/Session data from google analytics to PPC Stats page? That information can be really useful to pay bonuses to people based on the audience’s engagement to their articles.
Thanks,
Denis.September 15, 2015 at 11:55 am #46241StefanoKeymasterHi Denis,
that may be the next major feature / addon ๐The only thing I have not too clear yet is how to pay for those things. For example, what would YOU expect from it? What settings and possibilities would you like to have?
Have a nice day,
StefanoSeptember 15, 2015 at 5:18 pm #46253DenisKeymasterHello Stefano,
Thank you for your quick response.
Particularly in my case I was thinking about this plan:
– if the average bounce rate for all the articles published in that month is smaller than in previous month, journalists gets 5% bonus to overall payment. If in the second month he has smaller bounce rate again, he get 50% bonus. If he has the smaller bounce rate in the third month again, he will get 50% bonus again. And it will happen all the time until the bounce rate gets smaller and smaller. It will stimulate a person make the bounce rate smaller and smaller every month, as if he has it bigger in one of the months (it means worth engagement of author’s articles), he will lose his 50% bonus and will have to start from the beginning to get the bonus. The same for Page/Session data. I’m totally fine counting it by myself, that is ok, as probably it is too complicated system for adding to plugin. All I need is data being displayed in Stats ))))For the rest of the people it can work in this way:
– if person has average bounce rate or Page/Session for all the articles per month in this range, he gets this bonus. If he has another range, he gets another bonusBTW, one more feature I was thinking about is ability of adding custom bonuses. For example I pay set amount of extra money to one of the journalists every month, as she is a manager. Or I pay bonus to the person whose article became the most popular in this month. So a feature with custom bonus system could be helpful as well.
Thanks,

That’s the best I can hope to achieve with university starting in a couple of days. I’ll see what I can do to have data displayed in the stats ๐

October 7, 2015 at 7:59 am #47360StefanoKeymasterHi Denis,
While implementing the feature, I’ve actually come across a serious technical issue I’ve not been able to overcome in this little time I have, so I have to leave the development of this feature.
Sorry to have kindled unfulfilled hopes!(FYI, the point is that visits and adsense revenues are incremental data: every day, yesterday data is added to what we already have. But we can’t do the same with bounce rate and avg time on page, we should do an average with all the rows we have for a specific post, which would imply a totally different data processing than the one that’s currently in place.)
Have a nice day,
StefanoOctober 11, 2015 at 9:34 am #47558DenisKeymasterThat’s a pitty. But thanks anyway
