Hi,
I’m looking at this and it seems like the best option for what I need. I just need a few more things:
1. Buddyboss/buddypress integration. I need a system to track buddyboss posts on the feed and to award them based on views and comments/engagement.
2. I need custom payout system, or just not to use the paypal one. Users who request payout would get gamipress points on the site and they could withdraw it from there. Perhaps this is already working like that, I mean if I don’t use paypal, and user asks for payout, then I could simply mark as paid and issue gamipress points for them, right?
3. Custom post types, such as events and memes. And track it all like it already tracks blog posts.
To put it short, I just need an integration with buddyboss activity posts, and custom post types. Please let me know if this is doable.
April 27, 2024 at 6:02 pm #250221StefanoKeymasterHi there,
all that you ask is already possible!1. Buddypress posts are simply a custom post type, so it falls into point 3.
2. Yes – as you say, simply mark posts as paid and then manually pay them through any platform of your choice.
3. In the Miscellanea options box you can select which post types you want to be included in payments.Feel free to ask for more information 🙂
StefanoApril 27, 2024 at 10:00 pm #250227RosvaldasGuestUnfortunately buddyboss activity posts aren’t saved as custom post type in wordpress, so it doesn’t work already like that. Any chances to make it possible?
April 28, 2024 at 6:47 am #250233StefanoKeymasterAh, that’s surprising. Do you know what they are? Buddyboss is a paid plugin so it’s hard for me to figure out.
April 28, 2024 at 11:18 am #250236RosvaldasGuestThey are nothing like regular wp post types. If you register on buddyboss.com you can download the buddyboss platform plugin for free, it’s always free. Or I can send it to you. Please let me know so you could have a look.
April 28, 2024 at 1:15 pm #250239RosvaldasGuestAnd I have another question: the shortcodes addon doesn’t give the option for users to ask for payout on front end? Only buddypress addon has this? I’m using buddyboss, your buddypress addon would work there smooth, but still I prefer to use shortcodes to have it all on user dashboard instead of having all these things on buddyboss profile. So just payouts on shortcodes addon is the additional question?
April 29, 2024 at 3:53 pm #250274StefanoKeymasterOK, I’ll have a look at buddyboss but I don’t promise anything.
Oh payment requests through the shortcode, that does work if the Request Payment addon is installed https://postpaycounter.com/request-payment-require-authors-reach-threshold-request-paid/
May 12, 2024 at 6:02 am #250469StefanoKeymasterIt looks to me that BuddyBoss uses custom post types as I expected — attached is what I see in Post Pay Counter settings for post types with BuddyBoss enabled (as well as its Forums and Activity modules). Is this not what you were looking for?

May 13, 2024 at 10:18 pm #250514RosvaldasGuestHi,
Nothing in regards to activity there. Forum and topics is different from buddyboss activity itself, although forums are included in buddyboss too. But it’s 100% that activity posts aren’t saved as custom post types. In your screenshots you have ticked posts which is blog posts and pages which is pages. Nothing from buddyboss activity. I can ask their technical team how and where they’re saving these activity posts, but it’s definitely not under regular wp post types.
May 14, 2024 at 3:40 pm #250529StefanoKeymaster. I can ask their technical team how and where they’re saving these activity posts
Please do so!
May 15, 2024 at 10:41 am #250562RosvaldasGuestHi,
They replied:
The activity data is stored in the wp_bp_activity and wp_bp_activity_meta database tables.May 15, 2024 at 4:20 pm #250575StefanoKeymasterAnd how is one supposed to access that activity? I can’t find anything in their docs.
May 15, 2024 at 4:23 pm #250577RosvaldasGuestIt’s saved in the database on the said tables. I can ask them if you could expand your question a little.
May 17, 2024 at 3:14 pm #250630StefanoKeymasterSure — my question is whether they provide any helper functions to retrieve the activity. Or is one supposed to run custom MySQL queries on their tables? I couldn’t find anything by a quick skim of their docs.
May 18, 2024 at 11:18 pm #250661RosvaldasGuestAsked them. Will let you know. Thanks
