Hello, me again.
I seem to be having the same issue as another user, with Post Pay counter not updating the visits. I have revoked and reauthorised access to Google analytics and ensured that the settings are to use Google Analytics. Upon reauthorising, I have set it to take visits from the last 100 days.
The comments payment is updating fine.
Oddly enough, asking my authors, it seems that only a few of them are experiencing the problem.
July 12, 2014 at 11:35 am #2111EmmaKeymasterRefreshed the page and it seems to be okay now. Any tips on stopping this happening again?
July 12, 2014 at 12:27 pm #2112EmmaKeymasterSorry for the deluge of replies, but there is still an error. The earnings seem to have gone down for a number of users – someone was on $3.05 yesterday and now they are on 1.37, with some of their posts having no views.
July 12, 2014 at 6:47 pm #2118StefanoKeymasterWhen you update data manually, for example for the last 100 days, how many pending rows do you have?
I’m not sure what caused the problem in the first place, it could be that in Counting settings > Visits contribute… > Use Google Analytics was not checked, either in the general settings on in some user personalized ones. Did it happen after you changed something, or pulled data manually, or something else that you remember?
Have a nice day,
StefanoJuly 13, 2014 at 9:43 am #2135EmmaKeymasterIt all happened when I tried to do the payment run. It didn’t process through the site, so I had to go and manually pay the writers. I went to edit the settings so that “Users can see PayPal functions” was selected. Ever since then, different users are experiencing problems. Now a lot of the balances are negative.
There were approximately 1,400 rows pending.
Using Google Analytics is checked for everyone and the admin’s personal settings.
It seems to “fix” itself temporarily then happen again.
July 13, 2014 at 10:48 am #2137StefanoKeymasterCould I have a look at the site with a temporary admin account?
July 14, 2014 at 8:57 am #2156EmmaKeymasterI’ve emailed the information over to you, thank you
July 14, 2014 at 10:24 am #2159StefanoKeymasterThanks.
I updated the plugin to the latest release – v 1.4.7 – and pulled data manually again. Everything looks fine to me: balances are all positive and most posts have visits – although they’re quite low, but I don’t know how many visits they are supposed to have. The only author who has a negative balance is Liam, but could you check if her visits are correct now, or should be more? It is possible that they were mistaken before…
Let me know how it is now!
July 19, 2014 at 11:42 am #2325EmmaKeymasterHello,
the balances are still wrong, the authors have less money than they did previously.
July 19, 2014 at 12:10 pm #2328StefanoKeymasterHi,
Have you checked them with your Analytics view? A bug that overrated views on some sites was recently fixed, so it is possible that they are fine now and were’t before…July 22, 2014 at 8:53 am #2536EmmaKeymasterI have done, and there is still an error.
For example, Post 7688 – PPC is saying that there have been two views, GA is showing 5 unique page views. Post 7648 is showing 1 when there have been two. 7730 showing none, there’s been one.
I’ve checked 3 posts for user Liam, who is in a negative balance, and those numbers are spot on.
These are the sorts of emails I am getting from users:
“Hi! I’m having a few problems with the site or really understanding what is going on with my account at the moment. It says that I only have two dollars, and I had more than that yesterday! Plus the pay per counter hasn’t moved all day when I’ve written about six articles since then. I’m just a little confused to if I did something to get money taken away from my account or if something is broken.”“Hello, I have a bit of a concern. I noticed today that I lost money. I had almost 2 dollars as my total earning from June and July so far. Now I only have a total of 64 cents. How could that happen?”
Thanks
July 22, 2014 at 9:00 am #2537StefanoKeymasterPlease bear in mind that visits are updated only once a day. Could this explain the anomalous behaviour?
I’m currently on leave so can’t be of any help from my smartphone. I’ll be back on saturday – we can have a skype call / screen share session to get this fixed asap, although, I’m afraid, I won’t be available in these few days. Sorry!
September 26, 2014 at 3:35 pm #9419JPixelKeymasterWe are having the same trouble with the plugin. The page views are not being calculated and we have double checked to ensure that the plugin is tied to GA correctly. Is there anyway to get these working?
