Hello,
I can not seem to get paypal to work correctly.
1) I do not know where to put my paypal address to make a payment
2) when I go to pay someone and “confirm payment” there is a error “Account xxxxx@sds.com is restricted” account being the paypal address, I know the paypal address is correct as it’s a second paypal account of mine.
June 27, 2014 at 8:25 am #1569SigneKeymasterHi Again,
Got it going, I had the “sandbox” paypal account ticked, unticked it and was able to make a payment.
I notice the “paypal unverified” red text is in the payment history, I have checked and the payment went through to the account but after 10mins the red text is still there, how long does it take to become verified?
Thank you and great work by the way.!!
June 27, 2014 at 8:55 am #1573StefanoKeymasterHi Signe,
you were superfast! Glad you figured it out on your own!Standing to PayPal’s documentation, it could get up to an hour for IPN to report back the result of the transaction, but as of my experience, it usually takes a couple of minutes. Do you have Instant Payment Notification enabled on your account?
June 27, 2014 at 9:12 am #1575SigneKeymasterHi there,
Thanks for getting back to me, the account i used to make the payment this time did not IPN activated.
I just made another payment using another account I have that does have IPN activated. Waited a few minutes but the red text is still there.
Regarding the IPN is there a URL i need to specify for the notification to be sent to?
I have had to set a URL for notification for another service I have, could this cause problems with this verification system?
June 27, 2014 at 9:16 am #1576SigneKeymasterOpps.
sorry, got it the wrong way around.
First payment was from a account that DOES have IPN active to a specified URL.
Second payment test I just made DOES NOT have IPN enabled.
Both payments came through, but both payments remain with red text unverified.
What could it be?
June 27, 2014 at 9:19 am #1577SigneKeymasterSorry,
MY BAD,
They both have IPN enabled to a specified URL.
Does this pose a problem.
Do I need to use a account that has it disabled?
June 27, 2014 at 9:24 am #1578SigneKeymasterJust made another payment with IPN turned OFF.
Will wait to see if that verify’s in the STATS payment history.
June 27, 2014 at 9:31 am #1580SigneKeymasterStill not verified.
June 27, 2014 at 9:32 am #1581SigneKeymasterThe account I made payment to – does have IPN activated on it though, does this affect the verification?
June 27, 2014 at 9:35 am #1582SigneKeymasterJust made another test.
This time – FROM a account that does have IPN enabled,
TO an account that has IPN turned off.
Will wait to see is this verify’s
June 27, 2014 at 9:40 am #1583StefanoKeymasterFirst, check that in Options > Error log no errors are displayed. If yes, please copy them over and stop here.
The IPN URL is dynamically sent with the transaction, and is yourwebsite/ppcp/paypal. I haven’t been able to figure out whether having already a static IPN URL set in your profile affects the transaction specific one. It may be worth to try removing the one set in your profile, leaving it blank, waiting some minutes, and trying to make another transaction and see if the IPN gets through.
Let me know!
June 27, 2014 at 9:41 am #1585SigneKeymasternone seem to be show that they have been verified?
June 27, 2014 at 9:44 am #1586SigneKeymasterno, only errors from when the sandbox was ticked.
After that, no more errors on the payments.
June 27, 2014 at 9:45 am #1587SigneKeymasterWhich should I try with the IPN turned OFF,
the one sending payment, OR the one receiving payment?
June 27, 2014 at 9:58 am #1588SigneKeymasterWhat type of account is needed does it make any difference, personal, premier or business?
I have currently disabled IPN on all accounts, will have to turn them back on later for other services that need them.
June 27, 2014 at 10:02 am #1589SigneKeymasterCould it be a server security setting?
June 27, 2014 at 10:03 am #1590SigneKeymasterWould paying by credit card / Debit card help solve the issue?
June 27, 2014 at 10:12 am #1591SigneKeymasterMade another payment both accounts ipn off.
June 27, 2014 at 10:24 am #1592SigneKeymasterstill no luck with verification..
June 27, 2014 at 10:41 am #1593StefanoKeymasterIPN should not be turned off, you should leave it on but get rid of the address you set in your profile.
