I was paying editor more per post using the personalize settings for the one individual. Last month when I went to pay her I realized it was calculating her pay based of the normal pay scale and not the rate I had set in her settings.
Thanks,
MichaelMay 6, 2014 at 4:50 pm #1151StefanoKeymasterHi Michael,
sorry for the inconvenient! Is the problem still there, even now? Cause version 2.23 solved a problem which prevented personalized settings from being selected. If you are still experiencing the issue, I’ll investigate further.
Have a nice day,
StefanoMay 6, 2014 at 7:32 pm #1152StefanoKeymasterYou have all the permissions, including the ones to see users personalized settings, don’t you?
May 15, 2014 at 5:41 pm #1184WilliamKeymastersame problem with me!

May 16, 2014 at 8:09 am #1185StefanoKeymasterI’m on holiday until 18th, I’ll surely look into this when I get back. Sorry!
May 17, 2014 at 6:27 pm #1192StefanoKeymasterHello guys,
sorry for the delay.I’ve tested it out quite thoroughly and it works fine to me. Could you take a screenshot of the general settings and of your own personalized settings, if you have any?
June 2, 2014 at 8:28 pm #1295MichaelKeymasterI’ll try to take a snap shot when I get home but messing around with it today I noticed anything I put in the personalized settings just simply don’t save. When I go back it is set to the default rates.
June 2, 2014 at 9:31 pm #1296StefanoKeymasterIt may be worth to turn on WP_DEBUG and see if any errors show up while saving 🙂
July 18, 2015 at 6:28 pm #44629BrennenKeymasterI’m having the same issue.
Here’s a screen grab video: http://screencast.com/t/5oPoIT4ws2
Notice how when I save it, things look fine but then when I refresh the user’s info, it resets as if the change never took place.
I really need this feature as the starting rates get increased once I approve them and it differs from person to person.
July 19, 2015 at 7:56 am #44631StefanoKeymasterHi Brennen,
here’s how to fix:
go to Post Pay Counter > Options > Personalize settings > Administrator > Your username > Permissions settings > make sure the third checkbox is ticked and Save options.Does this solve?
Have a nice day,
StefanoJuly 19, 2015 at 3:54 pm #44632BrennenKeymasterThat did the trick!
I’m going to have to watch out for that in the future. I was going insane trying to figure that out, lol.
But I may have another dilemma now.
Is there a way for to change a user’s settings so that it takes effect from the day of the change and not retroactively.
For example, the user I showed you an example of has written 10 posts for “free” but starting on his 11th post til infinite I want to pay $5 per post. The 10 posts is the minmimum posts for users to write to make sure that they know what they’re doing before I bump the pay up.
I just changed his guarantee pay per post setting and it got applied to all of his posts, even ones he’s written years ago.
Is there a way around this or could this feature be implemented in future update. Like a check box or something that we’d check if we want payment option retroactively applied or not from the date of the change.
Thanks!
July 20, 2015 at 3:34 pm #44637StefanoKeymasterIs there a way for to change a user’s settings so that it takes effect from the day of the change and not retroactively.
No, there’s no options to do that, I’m afraid. However, there’s a kind of a way around it.
The trick is to make sure the user has no pending payment when you change his settings (so the due payment should be at 0). In fact, if you mark as paid the author before changing his settings, the plugin stores the payments related to each counting type, and doesn’t rely on current user settings. This way, new settings will only be used for later posts (i.e. posts that have not been paid yet).
Does this help/Is this clear? 🙂Have a nice day,
StefanoJuly 22, 2015 at 1:34 pm #44652BrennenKeymasterI’m going to test out that theory and report back. 🙂
