Hi, we pay our authors once a month, based on visits, but your plug-in seems to only allow us to track visits on posts PUBLISHED that month. For example, one of our authors publishes a popular post on 25th Feb, this post is still generating a lot of visits in March, but it does not appear in the reports for March, as it was published in Feb. Is there are way to show ALL posts made by an author that generated ANY visits in a given month?

We are currently evaluating your plug-in and Post Profit Stats before deciding which Pro version to go for, and yours seems to have better features 🙂 but the above is a big issue for us, so I’m keen to see if you have a solution?

    Many Thanks!

    Hi Richard,
    thanks for writing!

First, you can purchase the PRO version to evaluate it, and get a full refund within 30 days if it doesn’t suit your needs. That said, the easiest (and correct!) way of having the plugin display all posts with unpaid visits is to select a wider time range.

For example, suppose post A is published in March. At the end of the month, you pay for the 1000 visits it generates and you mark the post as paid (there’s an apt feature in the PRO to do that). At the end of April, you select as time range from 1/03 to 30/04 and all published posts in that range will be selected. Suppose post A received another 500 visits in April, then you’d see the views counter to 1500, but only 500 would be marked as to-be-paid. Since you can select dates as far in the past as you want, you can pay recent visits to however-old posts 🙂

Thanks – this is very useful! Is is possible to set different rates for different months? Our payments per view are based on a profit sharing basis, so we pay a slightly different amount per view each month to our writers.

I’m liking what I see so far!

    Thanks,
    Richard

No, I’m afraid that’s not possible. If every user could in theory have different settings for every month, multiply that for all users a site may have, and that’s a huge amount of settings to be stored and kept track of…

However, if you change the general settings with the new month ones when all users have 0.00 as due payment amount, that would nearly be the same. The only problem with changing settings is that they apply to unpaid countings prior to today, but if all users have been paid, no problem! I hope this is clear
